Long time no see..

Lõbustasin vaprat autojuhti Smilers'i lugudega.

El Nidosse jõudes ootas meid ees imearmas hotellike Sea Cocoon.

/Long time no see...

It's almost a month since our return from Philippines and new trip is waiting for us, so it's perfect time to share our stories from Philippines.

Although many things happened on the trip, we can say we had a great time. Locals and nature of the Philippines are amazing! It's completely true what they say about Philippines- it makes you feel homesick after your home. That's the way it's at the moment. Right after we got home I disagreed with that statement, but now I want to go back there.. badly. Our own mistakes luckily didn't ruin the country. 10/10 would return. Because of our desire to change bad luck we had, we decided to stay last 3 days of our trip mostly in our hotel in Cebu and just hanging around... haha. Actually the fact that beautiful waterfalls and beaches were that far away from our hotel was the main reason for us not leaving the hotel and the city.

After one night in Manila we flew to our first Island- Palawan. From Palawan's airport we drove to a small town in the north of Palawan called El Nido. We also like to call it "the lost town" because it was so hard to get there. We actually got lost while driving there and it was almost impossible to drive faster than 50 km/h, it was also night time and we didn't have any connection or WiFi most of the time. Very scary! We were accompanied by the small vans, stray dogs, creepy huts of the locals and some lost little cute turtles. Karl was driving the whole time and I was so sorry for him. He didn't want to let anyone else drive, because we decided to let Kerli and Antero sleep and I would have driven much slower and longer than Karl did, haha. Tried to cheer him up by playing some songs by Smilers. Anyway, do not take rental car, if you want to go to El Nido, unless it's day time. Better option in our opinion is to hire a van with a driver or go there by plane. After we got to El Nido, we saw a whole new world- cars, scooters, kids, tourists and much more dogs. Street lights!!!

A lovely hotel called Sea Cocoon waited for us after reaching to El Nido. Staff was very friendly and glad at the first moment we stepped in to the hotel. Although we got there quite late, they helped us with bags, WiFi passwords and were worried if we are not disturbed by the noisy Australians, who were in a good mode downstairs. We didn't hear a thing up there.

Rooms were big enough, we also happened to have an extra bed, haha. Mattresses were comfy, room had tea-making facilities, TV, safe, shelves. Especially I liked shelves in bathroom, what I can't see in many hotels, and of course a hairdryer. One thing I didn't like, was the A/C which was quite noisy and I prefer to have very quiet room while falling a sleep. Luckily hot weather made me very sleepy and it didn't bother that much and I fell a sleep quite fast.

/Sea Cocoon had everything necessary for living. We read, that it should not be taken for granted in  El Nido. There were problems with hot water, electricity, WiFi, ants and doors of balcony in most of the hotels. Obviously we did a lot of research before the trip by reading reviews and watching vlogs and videos, haha. Later we heard from Kerli and Antero that they had only cold water and not very big choice of food. So it was quite luxurious life in Sea Cocoon. Safe doors, which were possible to lock, hot water and even electricity was perfect all the time, although it may not be like that sometimes./

/We even had a pool. WiFi wasn't the best, but it's the problem in all over El Nido and unfortunately we couldn't do nothing about it. Our room was cleaned daily, we got how water downstairs whenever we wanted to make noodles or tea/coffee. Staff were super helpful!/

JA TOIT OLI HEA!!! Hunnik värskeid puuvilju iga hommik- imemaitsvad banaanid, arbuusid ja ananassid. Lisaks veel suussulavad vahvlid vahtrasiirupiga, liharoad, köögiviljawokid, müslid, mahlad jne. Päeviti toit veidi varieerus, kuid puuviljad ja vahvlid oli must-be

/AND THE FOOD WAS GREAT!!! Fresh fruits every morning- delicious bananas, watermelons and pineapples. Plus tasty waffles with maple syrup, meat-dishes, vegetables, muesli, juices etc. There were small variety of food daily, but fruits and waffles were must-be./

Saime kõige kõrgemal korrusel asuva toa imelise vaatega randa ja mägedele.  El Nido lummav metsik loodus ja Sea Cocoon hotell on perfektne kombinatsioon mugavast, kuid samas siiski ürgsemast puhkusest. Me jäime oma sealviibimisega väga rahule! Aitäh Sea Cocoon mõnusa olemise ja külalislahkuse eest!

PS! Meile meeldis väga alumise korruse interjöör!!!

/We had the room in the upper floor with a beautiful view onto the beach and mountains. El Nido's wild nature and Sea Cocoon hotel is a perfect combination of comfortable, yet ghastly holiday. We really enjoyed our stay there. Many thanks to Sea Cocoon for their hospitality and for making our stay that memorable!

NB! We really loved the interior at the lobby!!!/

Cya!

Our stay at the Sea Cocoon hotel was sponsored, but all the opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for having us!!!
